Pizza toast
You know, sometimes you just want some pizza, but you don’t want to make a dough, proof it, make a sauce, roll out the dough, top it, bake it and then eat it. I get it, it’s a lot of work. Enter…. pizza toast. A very simple, but very delicious take on your classic pizza. Of course it is not the same, but it did cure all of my cravings, so I hope it will work for you too.
Ingredients
Cheese Sauce
100
milliliters unsweetened plant milk
1
heaped tbs nutritional yeast (sub grated vegan cheese)
1
teaspoon corn starch
0.5
teaspoon vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
Toast
1
slices of your favourite bread
Handful cherry tomatoes
Dried herbs
Instructions
Cheese Sauce
- Combine all the ingredients together in a pot.
- Whisk everything continuously over medium heat until it has thickened and becomes slightly stretchy.
Assembly
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Add some sliced cherry tomatoes to your toasted top with the cheese sauce and dried herbs.
- Bake for 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and slightly golden.
