Chocolate Granola

Who can say no to chocolate for breakfast? I know I can't, because chocolate is life

My bowl is from Drøbak Keramikk

Another recipe made in partnership with the lovely people over at VGAN , my favourite chocolate brand for sure. This granola is packed with big and delicious clusters, you might end up eating it all in one go because it is so addicting. Sorry not sorry

Ingredients
    Dry Ingredients
  • 400 milliliters rolled oats
  • 200 milliliters nuts and seeds (I used walnuts, buckwheat groats and pumpkin seeds)
  • 2 tablespoons oat flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Wet Ingredients
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons agave syrup (sub another liquid sweetener)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Chocolate for the end
  • 70 grams vegan chocolate (I used VGAN Dark Chocolate)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C

  2. Mix the wet and dry ingredients separately and then combine until you get a clumpy mix

  3. Press the mix onto a lined baking sheet in one even layer, make sure it sticks together, it should look like one big piece of granola

  4. Bake for 15 minutes, then rotate the tray 180° and bake for another 5-10 minutes

  5. Once the tray is out of the oven sprinkle over your chopped chocolate and let everything cool completely

  6. Store the granola in airtight containers and enjoy with milk, on top of yogurt and smoothies or just eat it by the handful

Note

This is not a very sweet granola, it is more dark and bitter, perfect for breakfast in my opinion. If you would like it sweeter just add some more syrup or some tbs of coconut sugar to the dry ingredients
